Recent Research Reveals Inheritance as Source of Wealth for 15 Billionaires Under 30
Recent research has uncovered that all 15 billionaires under the age of 30 have amassed their wealth through significant inheritances. This revelation comes from Forbes’ 38th Annual World’s Billionaires List, which now features 141 more individuals compared to the previous year, breaking the record set in 2021 by 26 additional billionaires.
The Great Wealth Transfer
This phenomenon marks the beginning of what experts are calling “the great wealth transfer,” where heirs are projected to inherit over $5.2 trillion from more than 1,000 affluent individuals over the next two decades.
Notable Billionaires Under 30
- Leonardo Maria, Luca, and Clemente Del Vecchio: The Del Vecchio siblings, aged 28, 22, and 19 respectively, inherited a 12.5% stake in the family’s holding company, Delfin, which controls a significant portion of EssilorLuxottica.
- Livia Voigt and Dora Voigt de Assis: Sisters Livia, 19, and Dora, 26, own shares in WEG Industries, a Brazilian electrical equipment manufacturer co-founded by their grandfather.
- Kim Jung-young and Kim Jung-min: Siblings Kim Jung-young, 20, and Kim Jung-min, 22, hold an 18% stake in NXC, a major shareholder in the online gaming company Nexon.
- Kevin David Lehmann: At 21, Kevin controls 50% of dm, the largest drugstore chain in Germany, following a transfer of ownership from his father.
- Remi Dassault: Remi, 22, is set to inherit the Dassault aerospace and software empire, originally founded during World War I.
