Usyk vs Fury Rematch Set for December 21st

The highly anticipated rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury is confirmed to take place on December 21st. This announcement was made by the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s general entertainment authority.

Usyk’s Previous Victory

In their previous encounter, Usyk claimed victory over Fury with a split-decision win in Riyadh. This victory not only added Fury’s WBC belt to Usyk’s collection but also made him the first undisputed world heavyweight champion in almost 25 years, holding the WBA, WBO, and IBF titles.

Immediate Rematch Clause

Both fighters had an immediate rematch clause in their contracts, leading to the anticipation of a second showdown in October. However, the official date for the rematch has now been set for December 21st.

“The world will witness another historic fight as the Undisputed Champion Oleksandr Usyk faces off against the Champion Tyson Fury on December 21, 2024, during Riyadh Season,” shared Turki Alalshikh.

Alalshikh continued, “Our dedication to boxing fans remains unwavering. We invite you to be part of this exciting event.”
