Attack on UN Observers
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres condemned an attack that left three UN observers and a translator injured on the southern Lebanese border. The observers, part of UNIFIL and UNTSO, were stationed in southern Lebanon amidst clashes between the Israeli military and Hezbollah.

Denial and Condemnation
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) denied allegations of involvement in the incident, stating that they did not strike a UNIFIL vehicle in the area. Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister also condemned the targeting and wounding of UN staff.
