Travis Kelce Signs New Extension with Kansas City Chiefs
Travis Kelce, the standout tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, has reached an agreement on a new two-year contract extension. This deal is set to make him the highest-paid tight end in the NFL, solidifying his commitment to the team until 2027.
Previous Contract Details
Kelce’s new extension will replace the final two years of his previous four-year contract worth $57.25 million (€53.27 million), which he initially signed in August 2020.
Excitement for the Future
In a video shared on the Chiefs’ official platform, Kelce expressed his enthusiasm for the extension and his continued presence in Kansas City. “Feels good to be in KC. I remember coming here 12 years ago. It’s an honour and a pleasure,” said the 34-year-old, who is known to be in a relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift.
Looking ahead, Kelce added, “I can’t wait to get after it these next two years. No better than right now. Getting fired up for this year. Just got out on the field with the boys, we’re back at it baby.”
Chiefs’ Support
The Kansas City Chiefs also shared their excitement for the extension on social media, posting a message of support for Kelce and the team’s future together.
