Manivannan, his wife Mahalakshmi, their grandchild, and the infant’s parents were traveling in a Nissan Sentra when the accident occurred. The parents of the child, residents of Ajax, survived the crash but sustained injuries. The father, aged 33, and the mother, aged 27, were hospitalized, with the mother undergoing treatment for serious injuries.
Casualties
Aside from the family in the Nissan Sentra, the driver of the cargo van involved in the collision was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger of the van was also hospitalized with serious injuries.
