- Dozens of individuals experienced symptoms like stomach cramps, vomiting, and diarrhea, prompting Thames Water to conduct lab tests on water samples.
- Earlier concerns in Devon led to a precautionary boil water advisory, with over 100 cases of waterborne illness reported, including 46 cases of cryptosporidiosis in Brixham.

Thames Water reassured residents in Beckenham by confirming no issues in the Central Sydenham water zone. Initial tests showed no problems with water quality, and subsequent lab analyses supported these findings.
“We prioritize the quality of our water supply, ensuring it meets the highest standards. Over 99.95% of tests conducted since 2010 have met UK and European regulations,” Thames Water stated.
