Premature Baby Rescued from Deceased Mother’s Womb in Gaza Passes Away

Heartbreaking Story of Premature Palestinian Baby Saved from Dead Mother’s Womb

In a tragic turn of events, a premature Palestinian baby, named Rouh, who was saved from her mother’s womb after the mother was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, has passed away. The baby’s mother, Sabreen Al-Sakani, had sustained severe injuries during the Israeli strike on their home in southern Gaza’s Rafah.

Details of the Incident

  • Sabreen, along with her husband and three-year-old daughter Malak, were asleep when the explosion occurred.
  • The baby, Rouh, was delivered through an emergency C-section after rescue workers found her still alive in her mother’s womb.
  • Despite efforts by doctors, the baby succumbed to respiratory problems and a weak immune system.

Aftermath of the Tragedy

Sabreen tragically passed away due to her injuries, while her husband and daughter were also killed in the airstrike. The baby, weighing only 1.4 kilograms at birth, was laid to rest next to her father.

The baby’s uncle, Rami al-Sheikh, expressed the devastation of losing his brother’s entire family, leaving no trace behind in the civil registry.

Israeli Airstrike Response

In response to the airstrike, an Israeli military spokesperson stated that the targets hit in Gaza included military compounds, launch posts, and armed individuals.

Amid the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel, the health ministry in Gaza reported a total of 34,356 casualties, with 51 deaths in the past 24 hours and 77,368 people wounded since the conflict began.
