Olly Murs Welcomes Baby Girl Madison
Days after welcoming his new baby with wife Amelia, Olly Murs has already had to say a ‘horrible goodbye’ as work beckons. The delighted parents brought home daughter Madison and announced her birth to the world on April 17, calling her their ‘mini Murs’.
Work Commitments and Tour Updates
Keeping their bundle of joy away from the cameras, Olly and Amelia — who wed last year — have given fans very few details so far. However, the doting dad took to Instagram to give a brief update and revealed he has had to rush off to continue his scheduled tour dates.
The 39-year-old singer wasn’t going to let fans down as he confirmed that he was in Leeds and ready to join Take That on stage this evening, April 18.
Olly Murs Expresses Gratitude to Fans
‘It’s been an incredible few days, little Madison is here and we’re just very, very over the moon and just full of love,’ Olly shared in a video message to his fans.
He continued, ‘I just wanted to jump on here and say that everyone who is coming to the Leeds show tonight for the Take That show, I am here, yes. I mean it was so horrible to say goodbye this morning to Madison and Amelia but the show must go on. I’m here tonight so I just wanted to send all my love to you guys and thank you for all your support and love. I really appreciate it. I can’t believe I’m a dad.’
Juggling Parenthood and Pop Stardom
This hectic juggling of fresh dad duties and being a pop sensation is not totally unmanageable as the former X Factor star revealed he had a ‘plan’ in place. Olly shared that there’s quite an intense plan in place to manage his tour and new fatherhood responsibilities.
Madison’s arrival means the star doesn’t need to be concerned about mad dashes back to the hospital, but he confessed another fear of the challenges of parenting.
Now that Madison is here, the Troublemaker singer is back to the stage and his busy pop star life alongside Take That on tour. He’s set to perform at a string of gigs over the next two months across the UK, including festivals and arena dates.
