Munster Confirms Signings and Contract Extensions
Munster Rugby has made significant moves in their squad for the upcoming season, confirming new signings and contract extensions.
Billy Burns Joins Munster
Munster has secured the signing of talented fly-half Billy Burns from Ulster. Burns, who has been a key player for Ulster since 2018, will bring his experience and skill to the Munster squad. With 107 appearances for Ulster and seven caps for Ireland, Burns is set to make a strong impact at his new club.
Changes in the Fly-Half Position
With Burns replacing Joey Carbery at Munster, who is moving to Bordeaux, Ulster is now on the lookout for a new fly-half. Jake Flannery currently stands as the sole senior option at the position for the province.
Contract Extensions
In addition to new signings, Munster has also secured contract extensions for key players. Prop John Ryan, with 217 appearances for Munster and 24 caps for Ireland, has signed an extension to continue playing for the province. Cian Hurley, who can play in the second and back-row positions, has also signed a one-year contract extension after recovering from an ankle injury.
