London Incident Involving Military Horses
On Wednesday, April 24, chaos ensued in London as two military horses from the Household Cavalry went astray during a training exercise at Horse Guards Parade. The incident resulted in injuries to up to five individuals and left the horses in a serious condition.
Details of the Incident
The horses, named Vida, Trojan, Quaker, and Tennyson, broke loose during the commotion, with Vida and Quaker sustaining severe injuries. Vida, notably seen blood-soaked in videos from the incident, underwent surgery and is currently under observation at Hyde Park Barracks.
Medical Treatment and Recovery
Quaker was also operated on and subsequently transferred to an equine hospital for specialized treatment. While the extent of their injuries is not fully determined, the hope is for both horses to recover sufficiently to potentially resume their official duties.
