Limerick Advances in Munster, Dublin and Louth to Face Off in Leinster Decider

Provincial Hurling Championship Recap

Munster Championship

The provincial hurling championship brought plenty of drama this weekend, as rivals in Munster and Leinster renewed acquaintances.

  • Clare vs. Cork
  • Limerick vs. Tipperary

In Munster, the first game of the day saw Clare travel to Páirc Uí Chaoimh to meet Cork. Both counties were in need of a win to put themselves back on track after losses in the opening round last weekend.

A burst of momentum for Cork saw them leading by two points at halftime. Despite Clare’s efforts in the second half, Cork maintained their lead. However, Clare fought back and secured a victory with a final score of 3-26 to 3-24.

At the Gaelic Grounds, Limerick hosted Tipperary. Limerick dominated the game, securing a comfortable win with a final score of 2-27 to 0-18.

Leinster Championship

In the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship, Galway and Kilkenny played out a close encounter, ending in a draw at Pearse Stadium.

Galway took an early lead, but Kilkenny fought back and held a four-point lead at halftime. The game ended in a thrilling draw of 2-23 to 0-29.
