England Prop Kyle Sinckler to Join Toulon from Bristol
England prop Kyle Sinckler will be making a move from Bristol to Toulon at the end of the season. Sinckler, who is 30 years old, has been a key player for Bristol since joining from Harlequins in 2020. During his time with Bristol, he has made 55 appearances and played a crucial role in helping the team secure their first European title in his debut season.
Words from Bristol’s Director of Rugby
Bristol’s director of rugby, Pat Lam, expressed his appreciation for Sinckler’s contributions, stating, “Kyle has been a significant part of our Bears journey both on and off the field during his four seasons here. He has shown great resilience and determination in overcoming setbacks and is currently playing some of his best rugby.”
Sinckler’s International Career
With this move, Sinckler’s international career is set to come to an end due to current regulations that prevent players based abroad from being selected for the national team. Sinckler, who has earned 68 caps for England, last represented his country at the Rugby World Cup in France. Unfortunately, he was not included in the squad for the recent Six Nations tournament.
Gratitude from Sinckler
Sinckler expressed his gratitude towards the Bristol community, the club’s management, and the fans, saying, “I want to thank the Bristol community, the Lansdown family, Chris Booy, Pat Lam, and all the support staff for their unwavering support during my time at Bristol. I am honored to have been part of a club that shares a strong bond with its community.”
He further added, “We have achieved significant success together, including winning the Challenge Cup, finishing at the top of the Premiership, and making it to the play-off semi-finals in consecutive years.”
