Jamaal Lascelles Injury Update
Newcastle United’s captain, Jamaal Lascelles, is facing a significant period on the sidelines after suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during the recent match against West Ham.
Injury Details
Lascelles, aged 30, was substituted in the 17th minute of the game, which ended in a 4-3 victory for the Magpies. Following consultation with a specialist, it has been confirmed that he will require surgery for the ACL injury.
Recovery Time
The club has stated that Lascelles is expected to be out of action for a period ranging from six to nine months. The surgery is scheduled for next week, and the player will begin his rehabilitation process thereafter.
