Fat White Family Band Faces Internal Strife
Despite their upcoming UK tour and new music releases, the rock band Fat White Family seems to have reached a breaking point, with members going their separate ways.
Band History
Formed in 2011, the indie band gained recognition for their hit song “Whitest Boy on the Beach,” prominently featured in T2 Trainspotting. The original lineup included Lias, Nathan, Saul Adamczewski, Joe Pancucci, Dan Lyons, and Adam Harmer, but significant changes have occurred over the years.
Frontman’s Revelation
Frontman Lias Saoudi disclosed that he is no longer collaborating with the band members, including his brother Nathan. He has been the sole promoter of their fourth album, “Forgiveness is Yours,” citing a ‘complete breakdown’ within the six-piece band.
Band Dynamics
Lias expressed his solo efforts in the band, stating, ‘I’m doing it all on my own this time which has been a new thing. It’s been alright, I try to not repeat myself too often.’ He further elaborated on the breakdown in the original band trio of Lias, Nathan, and Saul.
Current Status
Despite conflicting reports, the current lineup of Fat White Family remains uncertain. Lias mentioned the band’s history of member changes and internal conflicts, emphasizing the need for a break to resolve differences.
Future Plans
While the band’s future remains uncertain, Fat White Family is scheduled to tour Europe and the UK in May and June. The band’s determination to complete their projects, despite internal challenges, reflects their commitment to their music.
