ICC Prosecutor Seeks Arrest Warrants
The International Criminal Court chief prosecutor Karim Khan has sought arrest warrants for Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity during the October 7 attacks on Israel and the ongoing war in Gaza.
Accusations Against Hamas Leaders
- Hamas leaders have been accused of extermination, torture, murder, hostage-taking, rape, and sexual assault in detention.
Accusations Against Israeli Prime Minister
- The Israeli Prime Minister has been accused of causing extermination, starvation as a method of war, and deliberately targeting civilians in conflict.
The ICC prosecutor’s list also includes Israel’s Defence Minister Yoav Gallant and Hamas leaders Mohammad Deif and Ismail Haniyeh.
