Ervin Lee Bolling, identified as the individual who drove his SUV into a barrier at the FBI office in Atlanta, is facing a charge of damaging government property. Bolling, who has not entered a plea, was stopped by three special agents after attempting to walk past the gate following the crash.

An open-source investigation by Advance Democracy group revealed that Bolling had online ties to QAnon-related content and appeared to be a supporter of Donald Trump. Social media accounts allegedly associated with Bolling have a history of spreading conspiracy theories related to the 2020 presidential election and QAnon.
Resistance to Arrest and Spread of Conspiracy Theories
Charging documents indicate that Bolling refused to obey instructions to sit on the curb and resisted arrest when agents tried to detain him. A Telegram account linked to Bolling was associated with nine public organizations, some connected to QAnon.

Daniel J. Jones of Advance Democracy emphasized the need to address the rise in violent rhetoric and actions. He urged elected officials, especially Republicans, to speak out against violent behavior. Jones highlighted the trend of Trump supporters spreading anti-government rhetoric and conspiracy theories, leading to violent actions against public officials.
