Dries Van Noten Steps Down as Creative Director After 38 Years

Belgian designer Dries Van Noten, known for his innovative and experimental approach to fashion, has announced his departure as creative director of his eponymous brand after nearly four decades at the helm.

Van Noten, 65, shared in a heartfelt letter on Instagram his decision to step down and focus on new endeavors that he previously did not have time for. His last official collection as creative director will be the menswear spring/summer 2025 collection, to be showcased in Paris in June.

While Van Noten will be stepping down, the fashion brand will continue under a new creative director, to be announced in the future. Van Noten expressed his intention to remain involved in the brand that he holds dear.

Van Noten, a member of ‘The Antwerp Six’, has been a pioneer in the fashion industry since debuting his first collection in 1986. His unique blend of traditional and contemporary elements, along with his signature use of floral motifs, has garnered him international acclaim.
