Chang’e-6 Mission Overview
China has launched a historic mission to collect rocks and soil from the far side of the moon. The unmanned rocket carrying the Chang’e-6 probe took off from the Wenchang Space Launch Center in Hainan.
Mission Details
Chang’e-6 is set to land in the South Pole-Aitken Basin on the far side of the moon. Its primary objective is to retrieve samples of soil and rocks from the landing site.
The mission aims to collect two kilograms of material for detailed analysis back on Earth.
