Chilling footage released: Female IDF soldiers abducted by Hamas

Israeli Soldiers Held Hostage by Hamas

The families of female Israeli soldiers held hostage by Hamas have released a graphic video showing all seven women lined up against a wall with their hands tied. The footage is from Hamas’ October 7 terror attack on Israel’s Nahal Oz military base. The faces of some of the women were bruised and had signs of injuries, as seen in the video.

Video Release and Pressure on Government

The footage, released by Hostages Families Forum, was previously released by the Palestinian militant group. The forum obtained the video from the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), which had released another video earlier following the attack after filtering out graphic scenes. The family forum said it wanted to further pile pressure on the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by making the video public.

Testimonies and Victims

“Every new testimony about what happened to the hostages echoes the same tragic truth – we must bring them all back home, now,” the Hostage Families Forum said in a press release.

Details of Kidnapped Women

  • All seven IDF women kidnapped worked as observers for the military, a role that involves monitoring the country’s border security.
  • Ori Megidish was rescued by IDF in an operation 23 days after she was abducted.
  • Noa Marciano was killed in Gaza, and her body was recovered by IDF in November.
  • The remaining women—Liri Albag, Karina Ariev, Agam Berger, Daniela Gilboa, and Naama Levy—are still held in captivity by Hamas.

Call for Action

The Hostages Families Forum emphasized, “The State of Israel cannot accept a reality where its citizens constantly feel their lives are threatened and suffer from unrelenting fear and anxiety. With each passing day, it becomes more challenging to bring the hostages back home – the living for rehabilitation and the murdered for proper burial. The Israeli government must not waste another moment; it must return to the negotiating table today!”
