Christine Quinn’s Husband Seeks Divorce After Restraining Order
After Christine Quinn filed for a restraining order against her husband, Christian Dumontet, recent reports indicate that Dumontet has applied for a divorce from Quinn.
Domestic Dispute and Legal Actions
In late March, a domestic dispute at their home led to Dumontet allegedly throwing a bag with a glass bottle, which missed Quinn but hit their two-year-old son, resulting in an injury and a hospital visit. Dumontet was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, released, and then violated the emergency protective order by returning to the house.
Divorce Filing and Custody Battle
The 45-year-old entrepreneur has cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ in his divorce filing and is seeking sole custody of their son, Christian George. Dumontet, also known as Christian Richards, has requested to terminate Quinn’s ability to seek spousal support.
Quinn, who was seen without her wedding ring following the incident, is not expected to seek spousal support. Dumontet is aiming for sole legal and physical custody of their son.
Legal Proceedings and Business Ventures
A court date has been scheduled for April 11, with Dumontet also trying to file a restraining order against Quinn, which was denied. In response to the allegations, Dumontet denied throwing anything at Quinn and claimed the dispute was about her untrained dogs.
Despite the ongoing legal battle, Quinn and Dumontet co-own RealOpen, a real estate business they started after Quinn’s departure from a reality show in 2022.
