Event Details
The 2023 We Are FSTVL, the tenth anniversary of the festival, attracted 80,000 attendees over two days, marking one of the biggest turnouts in the event’s history. However, heavy rainfall has rendered the park unsuitable as a venue, leading to the cancellation of the event.
The festival team was days away from building the stages and other infrastructure before the plans were halted due to the weather conditions. Fans expressed their disappointment on social media platforms.
Official Statement
The festival team expressed their devastation over the cancellation, citing reasons beyond their control. They had invested time and money into the new site, stages, and creative team to enhance the festival experience. Unfortunately, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham could not provide a safe event space due to record rainfall, leading to the cancellation.
