Britain’s Got Talent Semi-Final Highlights
Following the first epic semi-final of the week, we have our first two Britain’s Got Talent finalists. Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli returned to their judging duties tonight as eight acts took to the stage, all hoping to win over the public.
Finalists
- Innocent Masuku
- Ssaulabi Performance Troupe
Opera singing powerhouse Innocent received the most votes from the public, sending him straight through after an incredible closing performance. Meanwhile, dog act The Trickstars and martial arts stars Sslaubi Performance Troupe found themselves in the top 3, meaning the judges had the power to choose who went through.
Judges’ Decisions
Despite the panel heaping praise on both acts, it ended up being a clean sweep, as all four voted in favor of Ssaulabi Performance Troupe.
Performance Highlights
South Korean taekwondo group Sslaubi were Ant and Dec’s Golden Buzzer act, and they trained five hours a day ahead of the live semi-final. It paid off, though, as the panel described their performance as ‘a cinematic blockbuster.’
Meanwhile, South African opera singer Innocent, who wowed the judges in his January audition before getting married, said ‘this is my year’ after winning a spot on the bill for the final.
Judges’ Comments
Alesha described him as ‘the one to beat’, while Bruno said his act was ‘flawless.’ Simon praised Innocent’s talent and performance.
Other Acts
Lucy Heath and her five dogs performed a Charlie And The Chocolate Factory-themed dance. Comedian Bikoon! faced challenges with his act, and rollerskating couple Duo Stardust received mixed reviews.
Final Thoughts
The semi-final week kicked off in chaotic style, with a variety of acts showcasing their talents. The live semi-finals will continue until Friday, leading up to the final on Sunday.
