President Biden Roasts Trump
President Joe Biden didn’t hold back as he humorously roasted his predecessor and electoral rival, Donald Trump, during the event. Biden started the roast by playfully referring to Trump as “sleepy Don,” a playful twist on the nickname “sleepy Joe” previously given to Biden by Trump.
Biden also took the opportunity to highlight his maturity compared to his Republican opponent, emphasizing the importance of age in the 2024 election. At 81, Biden humorously remarked, “I’m a grown man running against a six-year-old,” poking fun at Trump’s behavior.
The President also made light of Trump’s ongoing legal issues, particularly his hush money trial, jokingly alluding to the stormy weather Trump has been facing in court.

Outside the venue, hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters gathered, draped in traditional Palestinian keffiyeh, chanting “shame on you” as the political and media elites arrived for the dinner. The protesters voiced their concerns about the portrayal of Western media and the issues they believe are being hidden.
