Mark Goodier to Host Pick of the Pops
BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds have announced that radio legend Mark Goodier will be taking over Pick of the Pops following the passing of presenter Steve Wright. Goodier will host the show every Saturday afternoon starting from July.

Mark Goodier’s Broadcasting Journey
Mark Goodier’s broadcasting career dates back to the 1970s when he started as a mobile DJ before transitioning to a presenter role at a local radio station in Edinburgh. He later became a prominent figure on BBC radio, hosting the UK Top 40 on BBC Radio 1 and making appearances on Radio 2.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Michael Ball will take over Love Songs with Michael Ball, succeeding Steve Wright. Additionally, Paddy McGuinness will host a new Sunday show on BBC Radio 2.
Steve Wright’s untimely passing in February left a void in the radio community, with his colleagues and fans mourning the loss of the legendary DJ.
