Vaccine Guidelines Issued for Hajj
The health ministry of Saudi Arabia has issued vaccine guidelines for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage. The mandatory vaccinations include one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine given during 1445 AH, one dose of the influenza vaccine given during 1445 AH, and one dose of the meningitis vaccine given within the past five years.
The Ministry of Health has made vaccinations available for domestic pilgrims at primary health care centers. Those intending to perform Hajj this year are required to book an appointment through the Sehhaty application.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of completing vaccinations before Hajj due to the large crowds of people from around the world gathering to perform the pilgrimage, which may increase the risk of infectious diseases.
