Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin confirmed that the national police in Rouen intervened early in the morning to neutralize the armed individual. The man’s intentions were clear as he approached the synagogue with a knife and an iron bar.

Upon the man’s approach, the police were forced to take action and fired at the armed individual. Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead, according to reports from AFP.
