Virtual Reality Home Design Shows Hosted by Strictly Come Dancing Star Shelved After Five Years
Two popular BBC series hosted by a Strictly Come Dancing star have been quietly shelved after a successful five-year run. Your Home Made Perfect, which first aired in 2019, utilized virtual reality and cutting-edge technology to showcase people’s dream homes before they were built in real life. Designers used photo-real virtual reality technology and visual effects to present their designs to families looking to transform their living spaces.
In each episode, homeowners had the challenging task of selecting one architect’s vision to bring to life. Hosted by Angela Scanlon, the show spanned four seasons and concluded its last season in August of the previous year.
Spin-Off Series and Cancellation
The success of Your Home Made Perfect led to a spin-off series titled Your Garden Made Perfect in 2021. However, the BBC has officially announced that both shows will not be returning for future seasons. A spokesperson confirmed, “At present, there are no plans for another series of either programme.”
