Phillip Schofield’s Social Media Comeback
Phillip Schofield, 62, recently made a return to social media after a year-long hiatus from public life. This break was sparked by his departure from ITV, including his shows This Morning and Dancing On Ice, following his admission of lying about an affair with a younger colleague.
Over 79,000 people liked Phil’s comeback Instagram post, which featured a picture of his dog Alfie watching TV from a bed. Phil has now shared another post with a video of Alfie watching the third season of Amazon Prime show Clarkson’s Farm, starring Jeremy Clarkson.
Reaching Out to Jeremy Clarkson
In the video, Phil tagged Jeremy and wrote, ‘Thank goodness we love watching the same shows… he’s obsessed with Clarkson’s Farm!’ Phil was enjoying season three of the farming show, where Jeremy attempts to make a living from Diddly Squat Farm.
In a second video, Alfie can be seen barking at Jeremy’s pigs on TV as they run around a paddock.
Support from Friends and Possible TV Comeback
Sources close to Schofield have revealed that he still has support from his former television colleagues, including Ant, Dec, and Alison Hammond, who are pushing for his return to work.
Since leaving This Morning, Phil has been supported by friends like Dec, who have encouraged him to consider a TV comeback. While Phil is still undecided about a return, offers have been made for him to pursue opportunities in TV or radio.
Despite the challenges he faced last year, Phil remains focused on rebuilding his life with the support of friends and family.
Personal Life and Family Support
In 2020, Phil separated from his wife, Stephanie, after coming out as gay. However, he maintains a close relationship with his wife and two grown-up daughters, who have stood by him throughout his TV departure.
