After Simon went to the public vote, Haribow and Jack Rhodes were selected to go to the final.
First Semi-Final Results
The acts that competed in the first semifinal were: Sven Smith, The Trickstars, Trey Braine, Sslaubi Performance Troupe, Taryn Charles, Bikoon, Stardust, and Innocent Masuku. The two acts selected from the first night were Innocent Masuku and Ssaulabi Performance Troupe, who will now compete for the £250,000 prize and a spot at the Royal Variety Performance.
Finalists So Far
The four finalists set to compete in the final so far are Jack Rhodes, Haribow, Innocent Masuku, and Ssaulabi Performance Troupe. Four more acts will be selected to compete over the next two semi-finals.
Standout Performances
Opera singing powerhouse Innocent received the most votes from the public on night one, sending him straight through after an incredible closing performance.
Meanwhile, dog act The Trickstars and martial arts stars Sslaubi Performance Troupe found themselves in the top 3, meaning the judges had the power to choose who went through. Despite the panel heaping praise on both acts, it ended up being a clean sweep, as all four voted in favour of Ssaulabi Performance Troupe.
Judges’ Comments
Simon Cowell praised the performances, with South African opera singer Innocent being described as ‘the one to beat’. Meanwhile, Lucy Heath and her five dogs performed a Charlie And The Chocolate Factory-themed dance, impressing the judges.
However, not all acts received positive feedback, as some failed to impress the judges with their performances.
Upcoming Semi-Finals
Britain’s Got Talent live semi-finals will air each day until Friday at 8pm, with Sunday’s final at 7.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
