Tom Hanks Reacts to Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s Feud

Tom Hanks’ Curiosity About Kendrick Lamar and Drake Feud

The world was left stunned when Kendrick Lamar’s rap drama with Drake escalated in recent weeks, with the pair exploding in multiple diss tracks – and now Tom Hanks has some thoughts about the whole thing.

Tom Hanks Seeks Answers

While the feud seems to have settled down for now, the Forrest Gump legend was clearly confused about how everything kicked off in the first place, and turned to his son for answers.

In screenshots shared by Chet Hanks on Instagram, the 67-year-old could be seen questioning just what was going on, and why the musicians have been taking aim at one another.

Clearly it had been weighing heavy on his mind as he messaged the budding actor first thing on Monday morning – at 7:25 in fact – for an explanation on what went down.

He penned: ‘Big Main, can you explain the Drake / Kendrick Lamar feud to me?’

Chet Hanks’ Explanation

The 33-year-old jumped at the chance to share his pop culture knowledge with his dad, and shared an entire essay on the drama, discussing where it started, and the allegations made by both sides.

Chet ended the lengthy message by praising Kendrick’s final rap response, adding: ‘If you heard it you would automatically know how to Crip walk with a stank face and clutching an Oscar in each hand with Marshawn Lynch [sic].’

Despite his best efforts to explain the situation, Tom was still seemingly baffled by the entire thing, replying: ‘Holy cow! These are fighting words. People taking sides?? Who’s winning??’

‘Did you not read what I just said,’ Chet queried, along with a string of cry-laughing emoji.

If that is not every interaction we’ve had with a parent…

The Feud Unfolds

Drake and Kendrick had rarely been out of the headlines over the last month as they continued to trade blows in various diss tracks.

Kendrick sent fans into meltdown as he featured on Metro Boomin and Future’s Euphoria, which appeared to be a direct response to Drake’s First Person Shooter track, released last year.

He then dropped 6:16 in LA, taking even more personal shots at the singer – who later responded with Family Matters, accusing his fellow musician of abusing his wife.

Kendrick subsequently popped up with Meet the Grahams and Not Like Us, hitting Drake with some bizarre allegations, suggesting he has a secret daughter, and claiming he is a ‘certified pedophile’.

Hitting back at the claims, Drake then dropped The Heart Part 6, rapping: ‘I never been with no one underage but now I understand why this the angle that you really mess with.’

‘Just for clarity, I feel disgusted, I’m too respected. If I was f**king young girls, I promise I’d have been arrested.’

Their beef has gone quiet for now, but Tom is clearly ready for the next round…
