Cause of Death
The cause of Perry’s death was determined to be a result of ‘drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine’ in addition to ketamine usage.
Collaboration with DEA
The Los Angeles Police Department has joined forces with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to conduct an open investigation into the circumstances surrounding Perry’s demise.
Details of the Investigation

Perry was discovered ‘unresponsive in the pool at his residence’ in Los Angeles on October 28. The County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner later confirmed that his death was due to the ‘acute effects of ketamine’ and classified it as an accident.
