TV Icon Yinrun Makes Surprise Appearance on ITV’s The 1% Club
A Big Brother icon has been spotted in the audience of another ITV programme, Lee Mack’s The 1% Club. Yinrun stole the hearts of the nation when she starred on the reality programme in October, entering and immediately giving herself a pep talk and whispering to herself by the wall in truly iconic scenes.
Yinrun’s TV Journey
Within days, she had us sobbing with her after her selfless admission about her boyfriend, and begging for her to make it all the way to the end. But, as it turns out, this wasn’t the first time Yinrun would be in front of ITV cameras. The 1% Club team have revealed the 25-year-old customer support agent took part in the hit gameshow before filming Big Brother.
Fans Excited for Yinrun’s Appearance
Teasing the final episode of this series, they wrote: ‘This Saturday will be the last episode of this current series. The episode was filmed quite a while ago. Anyone recognize one of the contestants playing here before she made her other TV appearance? We absolutely loved having her on the show – she was great fun!’
Fans have been left stunned that the TV icon will be making an appearance, with the image teasing she’ll not only be playing the game, but she’ll be picked on by host Lee as he questions members of the audience.
‘Oh! might have to watch for queen Yinrun,’ Arben wrote, as Laura said: ‘OMG! I Can’t wait to see this.’ Others were more concerned that the show will now be coming to an end.
Yinrun’s Reflection and Impact
Yinrun, who now keeps fans updated with her cooking tutorials on Instagram, came in fourth place on Big Brother. Her exit came rather unexpectedly, with fans in the live audience taken aback and still chanting her name as the winner was announced.
After her eviction, Yinrun reflected on her time in the house, admitting she didn’t expect to make ‘any friends’ before expressing her delight at her close connection with her co-stars.
Speaking about how she’d come out of her shell since hiding behind a wall in her first week, Yinrun said she ‘struggled’ at the start. ‘But throughout the process my housemates supported me along the way, every single one of them and gave me a lot of advice and encouragement and taught me to believe in myself.’
Yinrun also poked fun at her repeated breakdowns and joked that while her tears were all real, there likely wasn’t a place she didn’t get emotional in the house.
Viewership and Where to Watch
It was later revealed she had 17.14 per cent of the vote, with winner Jordan receiving 37.80 per cent. Big Brother is available to watch on ITVX, while The 1% Club airs Saturdays at 8.35pm on ITV1.
