The announcement was made during a Cabinet meeting presided over by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at Qasar Al Watan in Abu Dhabi.
Blue Residency Visa
In alignment with the national directives declared by the UAE President, the ‘Blue Residency’ is a 10-year residency granted to individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to environmental protection. This includes efforts in marine life, land-based ecosystems, air quality, sustainability technologies, the circular economy, and related fields.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the importance of environmental sustainability for the economy, stating that the sustainability of the economy is interconnected with the sustainability of the environment. The national focus is clear and resolute in promoting environmental conservation.
