Manchester City’s Leading Scorer Erling Haaland to Miss Premier League Match
Manchester City will be facing Brighton in the Premier League without their leading scorer Erling Haaland. Haaland, who missed the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea due to a muscle issue, has been ruled out of the upcoming match at the Amex Stadium.
Injury Update
Manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that Haaland is not ready for the match against Brighton. However, he expressed optimism that the 20-goal striker could return for the clash with Nottingham Forest on Sunday. Guardiola also provided positive updates on Phil Foden and John Stones, stating that both players are fit and available for selection.
Guardiola stated, “Erling is not ready for tomorrow, the other two – they are ready. I know it is not a big issue, but he is not allowed for this game.”
League Standings
Manchester City, currently four points behind league leaders Arsenal with two games in hand, are looking to close the gap at the top of the table. With second-placed Liverpool competing in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday night, City will aim to secure a crucial victory in their pursuit of the title.
