Konstantin, a former NHL player for the Pittsburgh Penguins, passed away in Miami at the age of 42 in what authorities have described as an “apparent suicide.”

In an Instagram story shared on Wednesday, Sabalenka revealed that despite their separation, Konstantin’s passing has left her heartbroken. She requested privacy for herself and Konstantin’s family during this challenging time.

During her practice sessions in Miami, Sabalenka received support and understanding from her friend and opponent Paula Badosa. Badosa acknowledged the emotional turmoil Sabalenka is going through and expressed her solidarity and hope for a good match.
Caroline Wozniacki, another player at the Miami Open, also extended her support to Sabalenka, emphasizing the difficulty of the situation and offering her assistance in any way possible.
