United States Drops in Happiness Ranking
The United States has slipped out of the top 20 happiest countries, now ranking at No. 23 compared to its previous position at No. 15. This shift is attributed to a decrease in happiness levels, particularly among young adults, as indicated by Gallup and its partners.
Impact of Social Support and Loneliness
Gallup managing director, Ilana Ron Levey, highlighted the correlation between social support, loneliness, and overall happiness. The data suggests peak loneliness among younger Americans, emphasizing the importance of interpersonal relationships in well-being across different age groups.
