Erika de Souza Vieira Nunes rolled a lethargic-looking man into the bank in a Rio suburb, claiming he wanted a loan for $3,250.
In the security camera footage, Nunes was seen interacting with the deceased man, trying to get him to sign financial documents.
Despite the staff’s suspicions, Nunes insisted that the man was fine and needed to sign the documents.
‘She knew he was dead’
The deceased man, identified as Paulo Roberto Braga, had been dead for several hours before being taken to the bank.
Police believe Nunes was aware of the man’s death and attempted to deceive the bank into approving the loan.
Authorities are investigating the relationship between Nunes and the deceased man, as well as the motive behind the loan request.
