The Cult’s 40th Anniversary Tour
The Cult has announced their upcoming tour to celebrate their 40th anniversary. The tour, named The 8424 Tour, pays homage to the year of the band’s formation in 1984 and the year of the upcoming gig in 2024.
Tour Details
- The band will perform hits from their 11 albums, including She Sells Sanctuary, Rain, and Fire Woman.
- The tour will kick off in the UK in October, spanning 10 dates into November.
Band History
Despite facing challenges, including two breakups in the past, The Cult has reunited and released four albums, with their latest, Under the Midnight Sun, released in 2022.
Before adopting the name The Cult, the band performed as Death Cult from 1983 to 1984.
Upcoming Tours in 2024
Other 80s hit artists, such as Fairground Attraction and New Kids on the Block, have also announced comeback tours for 2024.
Singer-songwriter Sananda Maitreya, formerly known as Terence Trent D’Arby, will be performing at the Love Supreme Jazz Festival this summer.
