In a statement to the press and through social media posts, Thomsett, known for her role as Phyllis in the 1970s film The Railway Children, revealed that various keepsakes from the movie were auctioned off without her knowledge.

The 74-year-old actress expressed her disappointment, stating, “No one attempted to contact me regarding this sale, and I am devastated as it is a significant part of my history that cannot be replaced.”
Thomsett also took to Twitter to inform her followers about the situation, expressing her shock and disbelief.
Rebuttal from Nesbits Antiques Auctions
Nesbits Antiques Auctions, the sellers of the items in question, refuted the claims made by Thomsett. They stated that the items originated from a home owned by one of her ex-husbands, which was sold in 1987.
Auctioneer John Cameron added, “We are currently reviewing the matter with legal advice due to the accusations made against our firm.”
